It was a very successful tournament for Athena 15 Beta at regionals this past weekend! Although we had a rough start (and loss) to SEI, the girls pulled together and went undefeated their next two matches against MAC Juniors and Alpine 16 Storm to hold our spot as number 2 in the pool! The girls showed great maturity and dedication; making team goals to encourage and support one another on the court no matter what, and it made all the difference in the world!! We ended the day as third place out of eight teams in the Challenge division, and finished the season as number 85 overall (not too shabby considering the 103 spot that we started at!) It was a great learning experience for all of the girls, and even greater to see them fight through each game, and even have some incredible comebacks which took a lot of heart and perseverance. Thanks to all of the parents for being so supportive of our team and thank you for such a fun and rewarding season!
