Athena 15 Beta team has had a season which we couldn’t be more proud of! After beginning the season as number 103 (gasp!) in the 16U division, 15 Beta managed every power league to move up in the division, finally ending the season in the Willamette classic as number 73! Although pool play on Saturday was a loooong day and a little rough for the girls, Sunday’s bracket play was a different story! The girls came out fired up and ready to play, going undefeated against NW Juniors Elite (a nailbiting-3-game match with lots of emotion as these two teams have met before in Seattle), Webfoot 16 Black, and finally Aces 16 to win the bracket! The girls stayed positive all weekend and could not have been more supportive of one another. Finally, we ended our season with a beach volleyball party full of laughter and fun at White Sands Indoor Beach facility.Coaches Karlie and Shanna would like to thank all of the girls and parents of 15 Beta for a fabulous season of growth and learning both as coaches and players; this has been a season that we will not soon forget! We both feel so blessed to have had such wonderful, smart, and talented young women on our team. Best of luck to everyone and see you next year! GO ATHENA!
