Coach Ben grew up in San Diego, playing boys volleyball at Scripps Ranch HS, and for SDVBC and EPIC.  He played club at Sonoma State University, one of the top D2 clubs in the country.

 

Ben coached various levels at Empire Volleyball Club in Northern California, and won a CIF Championship in the North Bay with Petaluma HS in 2009.  After moving to Oregon, Ben earned Pacific Conference "Coach of the Year" honors twice with Tualatin HS.  Ben has assisted the NCAA D3 Women's program at Pacific University under Kip Yoshimura.  He has also coached with ATHENA for 10 seasons, and helped start the AJAX Boys program in 2014.
