Heather Meeuwsen

Heather graduated from Liberty High School in 2011 with four varsity volleyball letters. At Liberty, she received accolades such as First team All-League and First team All-State as well as the Northwest Oregon Conference Player of the Year and the Oregon 5A State Player of the Year in 2010. Heather went on to play at the College of Southern Idaho where she earned First team All-Conference and Libero of the Year awards in 2011 and 2012. In 2012, Heather helped her team win the NJCAA National Championship. 

After CSI, Heather went on to play at the University of Texas at Brownsville where she earned Second team All-Conference and helped her team win the NAIA National Championship in 2013. In Heather's final year of play, she was named Libero of the Year for the Red River Athletic Conference and helped her team to a second place finish at Nationals. 

Heather has coached club at Valley Venom Club in McAllen, Texas and was a student assistant for the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in 2015.  Heather played for Athena and now will be returning for her first year coaching with Athena.
