Jeff Sutherland

Jeff has a strong history of success over his coaching career the past 13 years. Through a coaching philosophy the combines strong technical coaching, an aggressive tactical approach, and an ability to relate to all of his players, Jeff has always been able to get the most out of his teams. While in San Diego, he coached at Epic Volleyball Club, where he led the 16’s, 17’s, and 18’s teams on the boys side, culminating with a National Championship runner up finish at the 2009 Junior Nationals for his 17-1 team. While at San Diego/Seaside Volleyball Club, he coached the boy’s 15’s, 16’s, and 17’s. Every one of Jeff’s teams have qualified for the Open division at Nationals (highest possible). In addition to his club experience, Jeff was an assistant varsity coach at Rancho Bernardo High School, helping lead his teams to two sectional championship matches. Following his time at Rancho Bernardo, Jeff was the inaugural Head Coach for both the girls and boys volleyball teams at Del Norte HS, leading both teams to the quarterfinals in their first years as varsity teams. This past year he coached the 14-3 team at PVC, where he led the team to its highest finish ever. Jeff spent the past four years as an athletic director at Horizon Prep in San Diego, where he also coached the schools middle school boys and girls teams. He is currently an assistant coach. He is currently an assistant coach at both Clackamas Community College and Lake Oswego High School. He holds his Masters Degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration.
