Kristin’s volleyball journey started in the 4th grade playing CYO volleyball. Since then, she has played competitively at the club, high school and collegiate levels. Her high school career included a third place and two second place State Championship finishes. During club, Kristin led her teams to numerous tournament and Regional Championship titles and a third place finish at Nationals, earning All Tournament Team recognition.
This will be Kristin’s 4th season with Athena. She has been a Head Coach for 14-Silver (2 seasons) and 15-Silver (last season) and an Assistant for the 12-Gold and 13-Black teams. She previously coached two seasons with the North Pacific Juniors (NPJ) volleyball club where she was a 14’s Assistant and 16’s Head Coach. Kristin has spent the last 3 high school seasons coaching at Lakeridge (JV the last two seasons and JV2 the season prior).
Kristin has seen much success with the teams she has coached. Every season thus far, her club teams have finished an average of twenty-five places higher in the CEVA region than where they started the season. One of Kristin’s favorite things to see as a coach, is the visible improvement her teams/players achieve over the course of the season both in their skill development and in their belief in themselves.
Kristin coaches with a lot of enthusiasm and passion and strives to bring out the best in her athletes both on and off the court. She loves teaching her players technical skills and game strategy, but also focuses much of her efforts on ensuring development of the whole athlete.
When she’s not coaching, Kristin works full time as an Internal Auditor and spends much of her free time with her husband and their three fur babies. She loves to travel, be outdoors, and is an avid puzzler.
