Susan grew up in Scottsdale, AZ where she first started playing volleyball in high school earning First Team All-State Honors. She went on to play Division I volleyball as an Outside Hitter at UMASS-Amherst before beginning her coaching career. Susan first started coaching 19 years ago in AZ where she coached for various clubs and ran the program at Phoenix Country Day High School. She moved to Portland just over 10 years ago, and has been coaching club and High School for the last 11 years in Oregon. This will be Susan's ninth season with Athena and looks forward to another great year!
